Title:  Seas. General Helper

Short Summary

Offer exceptional service and create a positive guest experience for guests in Le Cafe, a quick service outlet.  Responsible for professionally performing tasks to assist Counter Attendants in satisfying guests by clearing and cleaning tables in a timely manner.  Assist with set up, tear down and service of various catering functions.  Making customers feel welcome and comfortable, and while always performing under the Food and Beverage Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Description

Clean counters, tables, trays and discard garbage, stocking napkins
Maintain cleanliness of scrape stations, separate waste from recycle, transport dishware to dish cleaning area
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, products, cooking process, ingredients and potential relevant allergies
Pick up product from base kitchen and properly transport to Le Café
Ensure all par stock (cups, sugar, napkins) are available in all quick service outlets
Properly stock and rotate all pastry and “grab and go” food in all quick service outlets
Properly stock all cold beverage displays in assigned quick service outlets
Assist with guest orders, making beverages and serving prepared food (pastries) as required
Set up, tear down and service internal and external catering functions in various locations in CN Tower
Provide friendly and professional customer service to create a positive guest rapport

Qualifications

At least one (1) year of related quick service experience is an asset

Smart Serve certification is required

Point of Sales experience is an asset

Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Working Conditions

Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
Department uniforms are provided to protect personal clothing from wear and damage.
Approved uniforms are to be worn during working hours. Dress codes are in effect as per the standard policy and procedure.
Must be able to work in a physical capacity requiring lifting, pushing and pulling, bending and reaching.
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
Noisy and fast-paced environment.
Excellent Guest Services Skills with an ability to recommend the CN Tower products
Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
