Short Summary

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Department and supporting in the creation of dynamic content to foster engagement with key stakeholder groups and representing a consistent, brand-aligned and positive organizational image through effective media and public relations strategies.


The Coordinator is a passionate writer and content creator, who will apply their creative energy to the creation of fun and engaging content in support of communications and marketing initiatives. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of media, licensing and image use inquiries, contracts and general departmental administrative functions.

Job Description

  • Contributes to the creative content for the Tower’s marketing and communications
  • Evaluates incoming media inquiries, assists in coordinating responses to requests
  • Maintains list and schedule for relevant content creators
  • Contributes to photography and videography and graphics for the Tower’s social media
  • Contributes story ideas and supports in the development of initiatives
  • Supports social media monitoring for sensitive topics and issues
  • Schedules approved social media posts
  • Maintains a departmental calendar of activities and seasonal initiatives
  • Provides administrative support on departmental projects and initiatives
  • Maintains departmental office supplies
  • Supports management of photography and collateral materials


  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or equivalent experience is required.
  • One  (1) to three 3 years of related experience in public relations, social media and/or marketing communication is required.
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office environment and Microsoft Office Suite
