Title:  Graphic Designer

Short Summary

  • Management of CN Tower brand standards and visual identity
  • Ensures consistency across all channels and creative executions, both internal and external
  • Provides design support for marketing, internal communications, PR and social media initiatives, including designing ad creative and developing compelling layouts for internal and external audiences, providing design support for presentation material
  • File management, formatting and preparation, including resizing creative
  • Design office templates consistent with the CN Tower’s visual identity
  • Liaising with printers and vendors to ensure quality and consistency of collateral materials
  • Ensure careful stewardship of departmental resources, soliciting quotes and processing invoices in compliance with procurement policies
  • Design signage and displays to enhance guest experience, promote brand consistency and wayfinding throughout the CN Tower, and oversee production to ensure quality standards are met

Job Description

  • Typesetting, layout and design of print and digital collateral
  • Develop compelling design solutions that support project objectives and align with the CN Tower’s brand standards and visual identity
  • Maintain and uphold the CN Tower’s visual identity and ensures continuity and alignment across all platforms
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications team to streamline internal design and content development processes
  • Develop detailed project plans and work-back schedules to ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage files and formats them for print and digital applications
  • Process invoices and liaises with vendors to effectively manage production schedules and departmental resources
  • Source products and services as required with adherence to the CN Tower’s procurement policy to ensure careful stewardship of resources
  • Promote broad understanding of and adherence to the CN Tower’s brand guidelines and visual identity for enhanced alignment across the organization, both internally and externally
  • Provide design support for key presentations and marketing communications initiatives

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A relevant college diploma or university degree in graphic design, industrial design, or interior design, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in Graphic Design is required. 
  • Superior organizational skills necessary to manage large volumes of business and opportunities from various sources and to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Superior time management and ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities, with a track record for meeting deadlines
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.

Working Conditions

Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, conflicting demands, frequent interruptions, and heavy work loads.
Working in an office environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, as needed
Light to infrequently moderate physical effort; Requires handling of light and moderate weight objects including office equipment and other office supplies.
