Title: General Labourer
Short Summary
The responsibility of this role is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all guests, staff and the general public when providing physical labour support to any trades that do not require specific and or specialized skills of a qualified tradesperson.
Due to the scope of responsibilities of this role, the working hours and days for this position is susceptible to change as required by the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance and occasional overtime may be required.
Job Description
- Perform structured tasks as determined by the Shift Supervisors and Manager, Facilities and Maintenance.
- Assist in minor construction projects
- Responsible for dry walling, patching, painting projects around the CN Tower
- General repairs as required
- Supervise outside supplemental labourer agencies as required
- Periodic shift work required
- Assist other trades people
- Adhere to compnay policies and departmental procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience is required.
- Knowledge of building trades tools, repairs and maintenance is required.
- Adaptive to working on multiple projects with strict deadlines under pressure.
- Experience in painting, plastering, taping and drywalling
