Short Summary
Under the direction of the Real Estate management team, the Real Estate Intern contributes to the success of real estate projects across British Columbia. The Real Estate Intern contributes by researching, analyzing, coordinating and processing project inputs and information to maintain project momentum. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience and tools to support their future career in the Real Estate industry.
Job Description
- Supports planning, servicing, and project initiatives.
- Attends meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicates with external multidisciplinary team members to achieve project objectives.
- Assists in administering external consultant contracts and deliverables.
- Conducts site visits.
- Assists in the preparation of briefs and technical documentation.
- Researches and collects information, inputs and material.
- Assists with the preparation of materials for public engagement and attends open houses and public meetings in support of various projects
In addition to the Key Functions listed above, the Real Estate Intern in the Real Estate – BC team is also responsible for the following tasks:
- Supports initiatives with MST Nations partners, including assisting in coordination with MST Cultural Liaisons, preparing a scope of work / role for a MST Nations Project Coordinator role, and/or providing mentorship as relevant.
- Assists in ensuring updates to project website content are maintained.
- Contributes to curation of images and preparation of graphic materials.
- Assists in procurement administration.
- Helps coordinate organization and documentation of materials in support of municipal approvals processes.
Qualifications
- Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs
- Knowledge and experience in business, urban planning, engineering, or real estate development.
- Experience in client relations, customer service, and basic public relations required.
- Proficiency with the use of standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Bilingualism is considered an asset but not required.
