Short Summary

Reporting to the Total Rewards and Analytics Manager, the Human Resources Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in Human Resources (“HR”) data analytics, supporting all divisions and affiliates of the Company, including Real Estate & Corporate (“REC”), CN Tower (“CNT”), Downsview Park Inc. (“PDP”), and the Old Port of Montreal Corporation Inc. (“OPMC”). This role establishes cross-divisional data standards, delivers actionable insights through compelling visualizations, and offers data-driven recommendations that enhance HR processes and empower informed decision-making across the Company.

Leveraging resources within the shared services HR team, the incumbent specializes in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all divisions. Key responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, developing dynamic dashboards, identifying workforce trends, and delivering insightful reports that drive operational and strategic HR initiatives.
 

Job Description

Data Collection: 

  • Gathers and maintains a comprehensive range of HR data from both internal and external sources, including the Company’s HRIS, applicant tracking system, learning management platform, performance review platform, succession planning, internal surveys, exit interviews, benefits programs, and industry benchmarks
  • Standardizes cross-divisional data collection practices, developing and maintaining SOPs where necessary
  • Conducts routine data audits and validations, leveraging automation tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves systemic data integrity issues, implementing process improvements and innovative data collection methods
  • Designs and implements HR scorecards and dashboards, optimizing data accessibility and usability 
  • Serves as a Corporate administrator of the HR analytics platform, ensuring seamless data mapping and integrity
  • Collaborates with divisional HR teams and cross-functional colleagues to align HR data collection with broader business objectives

Data Analysis: 

  • Interprets HR data to identify trends, benchmark against industry standards, and provide actionable insights on key metrics.
  • Monitors HR scorecards and dashboards, proactively identifying trends and discrepancies while delivering timely updates to the Total Rewards and Analytics Manager
  • Supports data analysis efforts for all Corporate reporting, including Board reports, Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) reports, Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) reports, corporate planning, compensation planning and Senior Management Team (“SMT”) updates
  • Analyzes workforce trends and other HR data to identify opportunities and potential risks, supporting talent development, service delivery, and operational effectiveness
  • Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues to enhance the role of HR analytics in business decision-making

Data Reporting: 

  • Develops, implements, and maintains HR analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting infrastructures to ensure accurate and relevant insights
  • Creates custom and ad-hoc reports that enable leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Leverages advanced visualization techniques to transform complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives
  • Maintains a regular HR data reporting cadence, providing leadership with timely, data-driven updates
  • Works collaboratively with the Total Rewards and Analytics Manager to refine data reporting structures to meet operational and strategic needs
  • Delivers ad-hoc presentations and reports to the Total Rewards and Analytics Manager and CHRO as required

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of related Human Resources experience is required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience with an HRIS (preferably ADP Workforce Now) and writing reports using reporting tools is required
  • Knowledge and experience in HR analytics or data analytics, including data reporting and dashboards, is required
  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in progress or achieved is an asset
  • Must be proficient in standard MS office software and equipment, with advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required 
  • Power BI experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required
